I have lived in Harrogate for over forty years. My children were born and brought up here.
Now retired, I spent most of my working life in local government and saw at first hand the terrible results of this Tory government’s imposition of austerity on our vital services. I would fight to reverse this huge cut in government grant.
The council have finally produced a housing plan. However, it fails to address the desperate need for affordable housing and the need for local services to keep pace with development. That said, I am in favour of all parts of the district taking a share of new housing.
