About Margaret Smith
Margaret Smith will bring a wealth of both Public and Private Sector experience to her role as a North Yorkshire Councillor.
She worked for several years in education ending up a Senior Manager in a large FE College but then set up and ran a very successful small business focused on the use of IT in Communities and SMEs. It employed around 25 people in North Yorkshire. Even in 2000s, flexible working was a key feature of this organisation and provided employment for some excellent people with childcare responsibilities. More recently she has been using this experience with local charities.
